Àlvar Triay graduated in Acting from Institut del Teatre de Barcelona and in Audiovisual Communication from UAB.
On television, he has appeared in series from various platforms: on TV3, we’ve seen him in Jo Mai Mai, Cucut, Bojos per Molière, Com si fos ahir, La fossa, El crack, Nit i dia, Citas 2, La Riera, Gran Nord, Porca Misèria, and Ull per ull. For IB3TV, he recently premiered Norats, in which he plays a Falangist captain; he also appears in Fúria, Amor de Cans, Migjorn, Llàgrima de Sang; and has presented the documentaries Menorca Britànica. At the national level, he has appeared in Los herederos de la tierra, Los sin nombre, Centro médico, and Pelotas. He also appears in Hogar on Netflix, Sin huellas on Amazon Prime, and El día de mañana on Movistar+. In film, he has appeared in Marcel Barrena’s award-winning El 47. In theater, shows that stand out are in El nom volgut and Els dies bons, for which he received the award for Best Balearic Theater Actor of 2024. He also appears in Les maleïdes by Sergio Baos and Zona Inundable by Marta Barceló, as well as in Batec, Jutipiris, Woyzeck, Alícia, un viaje en el país de las maravillas, Sueño de una noche de verano by Els Pirates Teatre, and El mercader de Venecia by Dau al Sec. He is the author and actor of the autobiographical monologue Nomeolvides.
He currently has the film Balandrau and the series Favàritx for Max in the works.
